The Let Cuba Live Medical Aid Shipment to Cuba

A project of "Let Cuba Live",  "Pastors for Peace"  and " Caravane d'Amite Quebec / Cuba" and "The Quebec Cuba Friendship Association"

On Monday July 2, a three truck convoy carrying thousands of dollars worth of medical supplies that have been donated by doctors and hospitals through out Maine will  head  north to Coburn Gore on the Maine / Canada border.  This humanitarian aid shipment will be coordinated by  "Let Cuba Live", a Maine based Cuba solidarity group. The destination of these supplies will be Cuba via the port of Montreal.

At 3:00 PM  the trucks will attempt to leave the U.S. for Canada in defiance of the U.S. blockade of Cuba. A permit to ship the aid will not be applied for, should one be offered it will be refused.

The participants of this action do not believe that the politicians and bureaucrats in Washington have the right to regulate life sustaining humanitarian aid. They further believe  that the U.S. blockade of Cuba is immoral and illegal under international law.

These actions are an expression of international solidarity, Americans, Canadians and Cubans working together against an archaic, hurtful and shameful policy that has no place in todays world.
